Wordpress is at it again! but this time…

I was ready for them! The first attempt to update my site to WP 2.6 was a disaster, AGAIN, however this time, I had a backup of my entire site such that it is. The result was an easy restore followed by another attempt where I just ignored their instructions…Yeah I know sounds stupid but the instructions are wrong! In some fashion I cannot describe the upgrade instructions are wrong. Ignoring them to do it my way seems to have done the trick.

Now if they will just get my current themes approved…Yeah, I know, one miracle at a time!

Illnesses, Heatwaves, and mosquitos OH MY!

I have been a little under the weather the last week or so. Prior to that I was starting work on a little home improvement project that my wife has joined me on with abandon. We have decided to put down a laminate floor that has a sort of medium oak color to it in what looks much like small odd length planks. It is a really attractive change to the room once it is done. My buddy and I learned about the methods for installing this flooring by practicing on my computer room.

The result, even with some small flaws, is remarkable for two newbs(bright though we may be).  newwoodfloors!

I think it is a remarkable change from the dog hair covered carpet. Its a little louder in there now with music going but much nicer to be in that room than the one I left behind a few weeks ago.

Laminate is an awesome thing.

With the craptastic weather and the various “other” projects I have going on, I have not had much time. I am going to open some other sections on the site for my other projects. That way when it is hot, humid and sucky, I can blog about something I am actually doing! See ya soon!
